If you
want to learn how to burn belly fat, we
need to start by setting the record
straight on one of the biggest myths I
constantly encounter in the gym and with
my clients; spot reduction. I am a firm
believer that it does NOT work. I have yet
to come across and ab exercise or ab
gadget that will actually burn belly fat.
The concept of spot reduction states that
if you do a certain exercise for a
specific body part, you will be able to
burn the fat off that body part. NO WAY!
You can absolutely target specific muscles
but please put to rest the idea that you
are going to willingly target specific
areas of fat on your body. It is not going
to happen.
So, if spot reduction does
not work; what does? You need to focus on a
diet and workout routine that will speed up
your metabolism and attack and burn all fat,
regardless of location.
